PMI Phoenix Board is governed by a Board comprised of member-elected President and Vice Presidents who serve two-year terms.

Cory Smith, MBA, PMP, ITILv3, CSM
Cory holds a Masters of Business Administration Degree from University of Phoenix. During her 23 year Information Technology career she has held technical project delivery and operations management positions in product development, PMOs, Infrastructure, and Quality Assurance. Cory has over 15 years of experience managing programs, projects and leading teams. She has worked for American Express, Bank of America, Avnet and as a consultant. Cory has been a member of the Phoenix Chapter since 2006, and also received her PMP certification in 2008. She is passionate about continual development to be your best self, is a life long learner and enjoys leadership mentoring with young people. In her free time she enjoys being outdoors, travel and connecting with family and friends.
John Baley, MBA, PMP
VP of Communications
Talented, results-driven Project Manager with 23 years of Information Technology and Hospitality management experience with key emphasis on new hotel construction, infrastructure design, installation, unified communications, contact centers, video conferencing, and vendor management.
Trevor Stasik, PMP, CSM
“Plan early, plan often” is a motto Trevor Stasik tries to follow and to instill in his teams. He tries to lead by inspiring, empowering, and encouraging others to become better leaders. The Vice President of External Relations leads and guides his team in 5 crucial areas: Sponsorship, Corporate Outreach, Military Outreach, Community Outreach, and Academic Outreach. Trevor actually started as a volunteer for the PMI Phoenix Chapter in May of 2017 as a Membership Ambassador, soon moving up through Director and Assistant VP roles until being elected to his current position.
Trevor works in Project Management and Business Analysis, and has experience in a variety of industries, including nonprofit, marketing, financial services, and records management. He holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification, and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from Temple University.
Dave Casebere, PMP
Nicole Langston, BSBA, PMP
An accomplished marketing, communications and brand management professional with successful record in traditional, digital / online and event campaigns. Nicole has extensive experience with Project Management in a variety of industries. Her background includes account management, sales, training, software implementation, process development and improvement. Achieving her PMP, has only enhanced Nicole’s knowledge on project framework. Nicole enjoys improving her own life path, as well as the lives she touches. She joined PMI in 2012, and enjoys giving back to the community and helping mentor future PMP’s. She also volunteers with Career Connectors and her HOA Board. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the outdoors, hiking, exercise, crafts, travel, arts and cultural activities.
John R. Choate
John has over 20+ years’ experience in multi Industries as a Global PMO, Global Project Leader/Director and Site launch PM - Business and Technical. Starting his career as a top Logistics/Data Systems PM in the USAF to currently Global Senior Cloud SCM Delivery PM for SAP. His career portfolio includes site projects to global and in country (Mexico/ Mainland China) where he has supervised teams up to 1200 with full P/L responsibility. Career includes both Union and No Union Shop environments. John’s core is highly regulated Industries with focus on Large, Complex and High Risk projects.
John holds an EMBA from Pepperdine University, MS in Behavioral Psychology with Honors from Troy State and a BS in Research Biology from Washington State. He has held previous BOD positions with APICS & ISM in Silicon Valley. For the past eight years he was the National SIG Chair for PM in the SAP Users Group (ASUG) where he helped not only grow the team to global recognition, but helped present training on PM skills today and in the future, from a Business, Functional, Technology and Technical perspective.
John resides in Scottsdale with his wife Vanda, and family.
