Volunteers are the lifeblood of the PMI and the PMI South Africa Chapter. In South Africa, our volunteers support around 1000 members across 6 Branches – Gauteng, Kwa Zulu-Natal, Western Cape, Eastern Cape, Free State and our newly formed Northern Province Branch.
This includes organising regular Branch events, the PM Summit, Volunteer engagement sessions, and providing access to many professional development opportunities such as the mentoring program, the CAPM/PMP preparation workshops and the Directors Development program that help our members to grow in their careers. The Chapter also has participates in numerous social impact projects, and offers opportunities for volunteers to join across all provinces.
When you volunteer, you become part of our team in South Africa and also part of a global community of inspired and passionate Project Management professionals. No matter what your interests are, the PMI South Africa Chapter has a volunteer position where you can use your skills and give back to the PMI community.
Some of the value that you can expect through your participation as a volunteer …
- Learn new skills
- Give back to the profession
- Network with other professionals
- Get Leadership experience
- Earn Professional Development Units
- Participate in social projects
